Big Day for League Leaders
(Eddie and Taffy, SML management team in discussion)
Saturday is a very big day for the club as both league leaders in Saturday Morning League and Under 15 National League face tough games as they carry on their quest for league glory. But teams have been playing well so far this season and this weekend’s games against Collon Celtic and Ballymoney respectively will prove difficult, however both teams will be confident going into the games.
Saturday Morning League
Collon Celtic v Tristar
Templemore Central 10.30am kick off
After last weekend’s excellent victory over Art Deco, which saw Tristar move to the top of the league, Eddie Lamberton troops now face another title challenger, Collon Celtic. Eddie has the team playing very well at present but this represents a very tough task for Tristar but one the lads are well up for. This Tristar team has come a very long way this year and with a mixture of youth and experience have pushed their way into contention but they must stay focused this week and knowing Eddie Lamberton, they will be up for this game. Good luck lads
Under 15 National League
Tristar v Ballymoney
Magee 12pm kick off
This is Tristar’s first league game in a number of weeks and it’s a great opportunity for the boys to put their stamp on the league again. Last time out, Tristar were unluckily beat after extra time by Glentoran in the Northern Ireland Cup after giving up a two goal lead but if the boys continue to show the same grit and determination this Saturday then the won that they crave should come, however Tristar Manager Davy Thompson doesn’t ever take anything for granted and neither will his team come the weekend. With only five games to go now, Tristar have a great chance for promotion and the boys will be focused come Saturday.
Can all boys selected in this week’s squad please be at Magee on Saturday for 11.15am in full club gear
