TRISTAR FC 5  Ballymoor 3

Tristar started this game taking the game to Ballymoor and within the first ten minutes should have opened the scoring only for the Ballymoor goal keeper pulling off a great save from McCourt and missed chances by McCormick, Curran and Cussack.  Tristar did open the scoring by great play through McGarrigle and his cross was put into the net by the Ballymoor defender.

Tristar went 2 nil up and this time David McCourt made no mistake. Tristar appeared to take their foot of the gas and within minutes Ballymoor pulled a goal back with a great finish by McCourt. Play was getting very sloppy from both teams and with the run of play Ballymoor equalised when Hargan scored. Before half time Ballymoor were awarded a free kick outside the box and McCourt made no mistake finding the net.

Second half Tristar came out and from the kick off equalised when Ballymoor goalkeeper saved a great shot by McGarrigle only for David McCourt to slot home the equaliser. Tristar were well on top and introduced Marty O’Doherty who caused all sorts of problems for the Ballymoor defence and his great through ball put in David McCormick to score.

Tristar kept putting the pressure on Ballymoor  and a great run by Dean Curran down the left crossed for Chris McGarrigle who side footed into the bottom left corner to leave the score 5 – 3 against a battling Ballymoor side.

Well done to all the lads.
